MAINSTREET TERMS OF SERVICE

Effective Date: September 22, 2026
Last Updated: September 22, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Mainstreet mobile application, website, related services, communities, communications, and features (collectively, the “Service” or “Mainstreet”).
The Service is operated by Republican Main Street Partnership, referred to in these Terms as “RMSP,” “Mainstreet,” “we,” “us,” or “our.”

Contact Information:
Republican Main Street Partnership
411 New Jersey Ave SE
Washington, DC 20003
Telephone: (202) 549-6486
Email: support@rmsp.org

By creating an account, purchasing a membership, accessing Member features, or otherwise indicating your acceptance of these Terms, you agree to be bound by them and by our Privacy Policy and Community Standards.
If you do not agree, do not create an account or use Member features of the Service.

1. PURPOSE OF MAINSTREET

Mainstreet is designed to create a constructive civic community in which American citizens aged 18 years or older can discuss public policy, exchange ideas, evaluate proposals, participate in surveys and other civic activities, and communicate their views to elected officials, policymakers, RMSP, and one another.
Mainstreet is intended to promote genuine participation by real people acting as themselves.
Participation in Mainstreet does not guarantee that any proposal, comment, vote, survey response, recommendation, or other contribution will be adopted, transmitted to a particular public official, included in a report, receive particular visibility, or influence legislation or public policy.
RMSP is not a government agency, and use of Mainstreet does not constitute communication with, petition to, or participation in any governmental proceeding unless expressly stated otherwise.

2. COMMUNITY STANDARDS

The following Community Standards are an integral part of these Terms. Every Member agrees to comply with them.
"In order to create a more perfect union, members agree to the following community standards:
1. Tell the truth. Do not knowingly spread false or misleading information. 2. Debate ideas, not people. Criticize arguments, policies, and actions without personal attacks.
3. Use facts and evidence. Support important claims with credible sources when possible. 4. Listen before responding. Make a good-faith effort to understand another person’s position.

5. SEEK SOLUTIONS, NOT ATTENTION. CONTRIBUTE TO THE DISCUSSION RATHER THAN PROVOKING CONFLICT FOR ITS OWN SAKE.

6. RESPECT THE DIGNITY OF FELLOW CITIZENS. DISAGREEMENT NEVER JUSTIFIES HUMILIATION, THREATS, HARASSMENT, OR DEHUMANIZATION.

7. ENGAGE IN GOOD FAITH. DO NOT DELIBERATELY MISREPRESENT ANOTHER MEMBER’S ARGUMENT, IMPERSONATE OTHERS, OR MANIPULATE CONVERSATIONS.

8. Disclose relevant interests. If you are speaking on behalf of an organization, campaign, company, client, or other interested party, say so when it is material to the discussion.

9. RESPECT PRIVACY. DO NOT PUBLISH ANOTHER PERSON’S PRIVATE INFORMATION, COMMUNICATIONS, OR IDENTIFYING DETAILS WITHOUT PERMISSION.

10. NO THREATS OR INTIMIDATION. ADVOCACY CAN BE PASSIONATE; COERCION, STALKING, THREATS, AND ENCOURAGEMENT OF VIOLENCE ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE.

11. No spam or coordinated manipulation. Do not flood discussions, create fake accounts, artificially amplify positions, or organize deceptive campaigns inside the community.

12. STAY RELEVANT. KEEP CONTRIBUTIONS REASONABLY CONNECTED TO THE POLICY QUESTION OR DISCUSSION AT HAND.

13. Admit and Correct mistakes. If credible evidence shows that something you posted was wrong, acknowledge it and correct it. It’s OK to make a mistake.

14. RESPECT THE PROCESS. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CIRCUMVENT MODERATION, VOTING, IDENTITY VERIFICATION, MEMBERSHIP, OR OTHER PLATFORM RULES.

15. Assume citizenship comes before faction. Members can disagree strongly while recognizing that people with different political views can still be acting in good faith."
A disagreement with RMSP, any political party, elected official, candidate, policy position, moderator, or other Member does not by itself violate these Standards.
Our moderation is intended to address conduct, authenticity, safety, integrity, and compliance with these Terms—not merely whether RMSP agrees with a Member's viewpoint.

3. ELIGIBILITY FOR MEMBERSHIP

Mainstreet Member participation is intended for individual U.S. citizens.
Unless RMSP expressly provides otherwise for a particular feature, you must:
1. be at least eighteen (18) years old;
2. be a United States citizen;
3. register as yourself using accurate information;
4. maintain only one personal Member account;
5. provide accurate and current information reasonably requested for identity or eligibility verification; and
6. comply with these Terms and applicable law.
RMSP may offer portions of the Service for public viewing without membership. Access to public information does not necessarily confer the right to post, vote, complete Member surveys, participate in Member policy deliberations, or have a person's views included in Member-generated statistics or reports.
A non-U.S. citizen may not falsely represent that he or she satisfies Member eligibility requirements.

4. ONE PERSON, ONE ACCOUNT

Each Mainstreet account must represent one real individual.
You may not:
• create or control multiple Member accounts;
• create an account using a fictitious or materially false identity;
• impersonate another person;
• permit another person or organization to operate your account;
• operate an account for another person;
• sell, transfer, rent, or share an account;
• create replacement accounts to evade suspension or termination;
• recruit another person to act as a proxy for a suspended or prohibited account;
• use stolen or fraudulently obtained identity credentials; or
• provide materially false information during registration or verification.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for activity conducted through your account.
You must promptly notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.

5. IDENTITY, CITIZENSHIP, AND ELIGIBILITY VERIFICATION

Because Mainstreet's usefulness depends on the authenticity of its membership, RMSP may take reasonable steps to verify a Member's identity and eligibility.
Verification may include comparing information supplied by a Member against lawful sources such as:
• voter-registration records;
• public records;
• identity-verification providers;
• address-verification services;
• telephone or email verification;
• government-issued credentials where appropriate;
• fraud-prevention databases;
• account-security information; and
• other legally available records.

No single record, including a voter-registration record, will necessarily be treated as conclusive proof of citizenship, identity, or ineligibility.
If information cannot be verified, conflicts with reliable records, or creates a reasonable integrity concern, RMSP may request additional information or temporarily place the account under Integrity Review.
RMSP will handle verification information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable law.

6. FOREIGN PERSONS AND FOREIGN INFLUENCE

Mainstreet's Member deliberative functions are intended to reflect participation by eligible U.S. citizens.
A person who is not eligible for Mainstreet membership may not disguise his or her identity or citizenship in order to participate as a Member.
Members may not use Mainstreet:
• on behalf of a foreign government while concealing that relationship;
• on behalf of a foreign political party, intelligence service, state-controlled organization, or similar foreign principal while concealing that relationship;
• as part of a covert foreign influence operation;
• to falsely present foreign-directed activity as organic American citizen participation;
• to operate fictitious American personas;
• to conceal the foreign source or sponsorship of coordinated activity where that sponsorship would be material to understanding the communication; or
• to circumvent U.S. law or these Terms concerning foreign participation in political or election-related activity.

Nothing in this section prohibits lawful discussion about foreign countries, international policy, foreign governments, or the experiences of people outside the United States.
The integrity issue is deception, prohibited participation, concealed sponsorship, or manipulation—not merely discussion involving another country.

7. COORDINATED INAUTHENTIC BEHAVIOR

Members are free to organize, persuade other Members, form coalitions, support shared policy positions, and participate collectively in civic debate.
However, Coordinated Inauthentic Behavior is prohibited.
Coordinated Inauthentic Behavior includes coordinated activity designed to deceive other users or RMSP about the identity, independence, origin, scale, or popularity of participation.
Examples include:
• networks of fake accounts;
• secretly operating multiple personas;
• purchasing or selling participation;
• manufactured grassroots campaigns using deceptive identities;
• coordinated false disclosure of identity or affiliation;
• artificial voting or survey campaigns;
• organized manipulation intended to make a position appear to have support from more unique Members than it actually has;
• use of automated accounts disguised as humans; or
• coordinated ban evasion.

Legitimate organization around an idea is not prohibited merely because Members communicate or coordinate with one another.

8. BOTS, AUTOMATION, SCRAPING, AND AI AGENTS

Unless specifically authorized in writing by RMSP, you may not use:
• bots;
• scripts;
• automated account-creation systems;
• automated voting or polling systems;
• automated commenting systems;
• autonomous AI agents;
• scraping systems;
• credential-stuffing tools;
• data-harvesting tools;
• API circumvention methods; or
• other automated technologies

to access or manipulate the Service.
Members may use ordinary technological or artificial-intelligence tools to assist with research, drafting, grammar, analysis, translation, or similar activities, provided the Member remains responsible for the contribution and the use does not violate these Terms.
Using AI to improve a proposal does not make the proposal illegitimate.
Using AI or automation to impersonate hundreds of purported citizens, manufacture consensus, create deceptive evidence, or manipulate Mainstreet mechanisms does.

9. IMPERSONATION, DEEPFAKES, AND FABRICATED EVIDENCE

You may not deceptively impersonate:
• another Member;
• a public official;
• a candidate;
• an organization;
• a journalist;
• a company;
• RMSP personnel; or
• another identifiable person or entity.

You may not knowingly use fabricated or materially altered evidence to deceive other Members. This may include deceptive use of:
• AI-generated photographs;
• synthetic audio;
• deepfake video;
• forged documents;
• altered screenshots;
• fabricated quotations;
• false citations; or
• manipulated records.

Satire, parody, hypothetical material, and clearly labeled synthetic content are not prohibited solely because they are fictional, provided a reasonable user would not be deceived about what the material represents.

10. TRUTHFULNESS AND GOOD-FAITH ERRORS

Mainstreet encourages vigorous disagreement.
Members will sometimes be wrong.
A statement does not violate these Terms merely because:
• another Member disputes it;
• RMSP disagrees with it;
• it expresses an unpopular position;
• it involves a disputed interpretation;
• it makes a prediction;
• it contains a reasonable mistake; or
• later information shows it to have been incorrect.

What is prohibited is intentionally or recklessly presenting materially false information as true, fabricating evidence, knowingly misrepresenting a source, or repeatedly distributing information a Member knows is materially deceptive.
Members are encouraged to correct mistakes when credible evidence demonstrates an error.

11. DISCLOSURE OF MATERIAL INTERESTS

Members must disclose a material relationship when failure to disclose it would materially mislead other participants about the Member's role or interest in a discussion.
Examples can include participating on behalf of:
• an employer;
• a client;
• a trade association;
• a political campaign;
• a candidate;
• a public-affairs firm;
• an advocacy organization;
• a government entity; or
• another organization with a direct financial or political interest in the matter.

Ordinary employment or membership in an organization does not require disclosure in every conversation. Disclosure is required when the relationship is materially relevant to the Member's participation.

12. PROHIBITED CONTENT AND CONDUCT

In addition to conduct prohibited elsewhere in these Terms, you may not use the Service to:
• threaten violence or encourage unlawful violence;
• stalk, harass, intimidate, or unlawfully discriminate against another person;
• publish another person's sensitive private information without authorization;
• sexually exploit or endanger minors;
• distribute unlawful pornographic or exploitative content;
• engage in fraud;
• facilitate unauthorized access to computer systems;
• distribute malware;
• violate intellectual-property rights;
• conduct phishing or credential theft;
• sell illegal goods or services;
• violate applicable sanctions or export-control laws;
• interfere with the operation or security of the Service;
• overwhelm the Service with spam;
• use the Service for conduct that is unlawful in the applicable jurisdiction; or
• encourage others to violate these Terms.

RMSP may establish additional feature-specific rules where reasonably necessary.

13. POLLS, SURVEYS, VOTING, RANKINGS, AND CIVIC MECHANISMS

Mainstreet may use polls, surveys, rankings, recommendations, reactions, petitions, votes, referrals, proposal scoring, or similar mechanisms.
These mechanisms are not necessarily scientific public-opinion polls unless expressly identified as such.
You may not manipulate them through:
• duplicate accounts;
• bots;
• fabricated identities;
• purchased participation;
• coordinated deception;
• technological circumvention;
• unauthorized scripts;
• account sharing; or
• other means intended to falsify the amount or source of Member participation.

RMSP may invalidate, recalculate, exclude, or otherwise correct activity that it reasonably determines resulted from manipulation or ineligible participation.

14. INTEGRITY OF MAINSTREET DATA AND REPORTS

RMSP may use Member participation to create:
• policy summaries;
• aggregated statistics;
• reports;
• congressional briefings;
• trend analyses;
• issue summaries;
• research products;
• AI-assisted summaries; and
• other materials describing Mainstreet participation.

To protect the integrity of these products, RMSP may exclude activity it reasonably determines is:
• fraudulent;
• duplicated;
• automated;
• foreign-directed in violation of these Terms;
• coordinated inauthentically;
• generated through account compromise;
• manipulated; or
• otherwise unreliable.

Removal from aggregated analysis does not necessarily require a permanent account ban.
No Member has a contractual right to have a particular contribution included in any statistic, AI summary, congressional briefing, report, ranking, recommendation system, or other output.

15. AI-ASSISTED ANALYSIS BY MAINSTREET

Mainstreet may use artificial intelligence and other automated systems to organize, classify, moderate, translate, summarize, compare, or analyze Member contributions.
Such systems may assist RMSP in identifying:
• recurring policy ideas;
• themes;
• areas of agreement or disagreement;
• potentially abusive activity;
• spam;
• possible manipulation; or
• other patterns.

Automated systems can make mistakes.
RMSP may use human review where appropriate and does not represent that automated analysis will always be accurate.
RMSP may use Member contributions to prepare aggregated or summarized civic materials in accordance with these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
Unless separately disclosed and agreed, RMSP will not represent that an AI-generated summary is itself a statement made by any particular Member.

16. REPORTING AND BLOCKING

Mainstreet will provide mechanisms for Members to report content or accounts they believe violate these Terms or the Community Standards.
Where available, Members may also block other users.
A report is a request for review, not proof that a violation occurred.
Knowingly submitting false reports in order to harass another Member or suppress legitimate disagreement may itself constitute abuse of the Service.
RMSP may review reported content, associated account information, relevant context, and other reasonably available information when determining whether enforcement action is appropriate.

17. MODERATION AND ENFORCEMENT

RMSP may moderate Member content and activity in order to protect the Service, its Members, and the integrity of Mainstreet's civic processes.
Depending on the circumstances, enforcement may include:

LEVEL 1 — COMMUNITY STANDARDS ENFORCEMENT

For ordinary or relatively minor violations, RMSP may:
• notify the Member;
• request correction;
• remove content;
• limit a feature; or
• issue a warning.

LEVEL 2 — SERIOUS OR REPEATED MISCONDUCT

RMSP may:
• temporarily restrict posting;
• restrict direct communications;
• restrict polling or voting;
• suspend the account;
• remove content; or
• require additional verification.

LEVEL 3 — INTEGRITY VIOLATIONS

For suspected identity fraud, duplicate accounts, bots, fabricated identities, coordinated manipulation, survey manipulation, or ban evasion, RMSP may place an account under Integrity Review.
During Integrity Review, RMSP may temporarily or permanently:
• prevent new posts;
• suspend voting or polling rights;
• exclude activity from aggregate results;
• restrict communications;
• request additional verification; or
• suspend some or all account functions up to and including termination of account.

LEVEL 4 — SERIOUS MANIPULATION OR SECURITY THREATS

RMSP may immediately suspend or terminate accounts involved in conduct such as:
• organized identity fraud;
• large-scale bot operations;
• foreign influence operations prohibited by these Terms;
• fraudulent identity documentation;
• hacking;
• malicious interference with Mainstreet systems;
• credible threats of violence; or
• deliberate large-scale manipulation of civic processes.

RMSP is not required to progress through every enforcement level before taking more serious action.

18. INTEGRITY REVIEW

An Integrity Review may be initiated when RMSP reasonably suspects a material violation involving identity, eligibility, fraud, manipulation, automation, account compromise, or coordinated inauthentic activity.
During an Integrity Review, RMSP may preserve and examine information reasonably relevant to the investigation, subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
RMSP may consider signals such as:
• account-registration information;
• public or legally obtained verification data;
• account relationships;
• device and security information;
• unusual voting or posting patterns;
• reports from other Members;
• authentication activity;
• evidence of automation; and
• other reasonably relevant information.

RMSP is not required to disclose confidential fraud-detection methods, security systems, complainant identities, or technical indicators when doing so could compromise security, privacy, or future enforcement.

19. APPEALS

A Member whose account is materially restricted, suspended for more than [TO BE CONFIRMED BY RMSP COUNSEL] days, or permanently terminated may ordinarily request an appeal.
An appeal should explain why the Member believes the action was incorrect and may provide relevant supporting information.
Where reasonably practicable, a permanent termination appeal will be reviewed by a person other than the individual who made the original enforcement decision.
RMSP may deny repetitive, abusive, fraudulent, or previously resolved appeals. Emergency security actions may remain in effect while an appeal is pending.
RMSP may correct an enforcement decision when new information shows that the original decision was mistaken.

20. BAN EVASION

If your account is suspended, restricted, or terminated, you may not circumvent that action by:
• creating another account;
• using another Member's account;
• acquiring another account;
• changing identity information deceptively;
• directing another person to act as your proxy; or
• using technical methods to evade restrictions.

RMSP may take action against accounts reasonably determined to be involved in coordinated ban evasion.

21. NO GUARANTEE OF DISTRIBUTION OR AMPLIFICATION

Access to Mainstreet does not entitle any Member to:
• a particular audience;
• algorithmic recommendation;
• placement in a feed;
• inclusion in a report;
• inclusion in an AI summary;
• recognition by RMSP;
• presentation to Congress;
• presentation to a particular public official;
• a particular ranking;
• a particular number of views; or
• any other form of amplification.

RMSP may design, test, modify, or discontinue systems governing ranking, recommendation, discovery, aggregation, and presentation of content.

22. USER CONTENT

“User Content” includes text, proposals, comments, responses, photographs, videos, documents, audio, survey responses, and other material a Member submits through the Service.
You retain ownership of rights you hold in your User Content.
By submitting User Content, you grant RMSP a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license, to the extent reasonably necessary to operate Mainstreet, to:
• host;
• store;
• reproduce;
• display;
• transmit;
• format;
• moderate;
• translate;
• analyze;
• summarize;
• organize; and
• distribute

that User Content in connection with the Service and RMSP's civic, educational, analytical, and policy activities.
This license includes the right to create aggregated, statistical, summarized, or de-identified materials derived from Member participation.
RMSP does not acquire ownership of your underlying ideas merely because you submit them through Mainstreet.
You represent that you have the rights necessary to submit your User Content and permit the uses described in these Terms.

23. IDEAS AND POLICY PROPOSALS

Public-policy ideas are often developed independently by many people.
Submission of an idea to Mainstreet does not create:
• confidentiality;
• a fiduciary relationship;
• ownership by RMSP of your underlying idea;
• an obligation to compensate you;
• an obligation to attribute the idea to you; or
• an obligation to use or transmit the idea.

Where RMSP operates a specific recognition program, separate program rules may apply.

24. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OF THE SERVICE

The Mainstreet software, branding, trademarks, designs, graphics, databases, compilation of materials, proprietary algorithms, and other RMSP-owned materials are owned by RMSP or its licensors.
Subject to these Terms, RMSP grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose.
You may not, except where applicable law prohibits the restriction:
• reverse engineer the Service;
• copy proprietary source code;
• sublicense the Service;
• resell access;
• remove proprietary notices;
• use RMSP trademarks without permission; or
• use RMSP intellectual property to create a confusingly similar service. Open-source components remain subject to their applicable open-source licenses.

25. COPYRIGHT COMPLAINTS

RMSP respects intellectual-property rights.
If you believe material on Mainstreet infringes your copyright, you may submit a notice to our designated copyright contact at:
Copyright Agent: [TO BE CONFIRMED: COPYRIGHT AGENT NAME]
Address: [TO BE CONFIRMED: COPYRIGHT AGENT ADDRESS]
Email: [TO BE CONFIRMED: COPYRIGHT AGENT EMAIL]
A notice should include the information required by applicable copyright law, including the Digital Millennium Copyright Act where applicable.
RMSP may remove or restrict allegedly infringing material and may terminate repeat infringers where appropriate.

26. PRIVACY

Our collection and use of personal information is governed by the Mainstreet Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy should be read together with these Terms.
Depending on the features used, RMSP may process information such as:
• account information;
• identity-verification information;
• contact information;
• eligibility information;
• User Content;
• survey and policy participation;
• subscription status;
• device and security information;
• moderation records; and
• fraud-prevention information.

RMSP will not treat political participation as permission to disregard applicable privacy laws.

27. ACCOUNT DELETION

Members may request deletion of their Mainstreet account through a readily accessible account-deletion mechanism within the app.
RMSP will also provide an external web-based method for requesting account deletion where required.
Subject to applicable law, account deletion will result in deletion or de-identification of personal data associated with the account that RMSP is not required or legitimately permitted to retain.
Certain limited information may be retained where reasonably necessary for purposes such as:
• legal compliance;
• security;
• fraud prevention;
• dispute resolution;
• enforcing legal rights; or
• preventing serious abuse or ban evasion,

to the extent permitted by applicable law and disclosed in the Privacy Policy.
Where appropriate, RMSP may preserve de-identified or aggregated information that no longer identifies the Member.
Account deletion does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. Members must manage store-billed subscriptions through the applicable marketplace.

28. MEMBERSHIP FEES AND SUBSCRIPTIONS

Access to Mainstreet requires a paid membership.
The standard Mainstreet membership fee is $10.00 per month, plus any applicable taxes. Unless canceled, the monthly membership automatically renews each month at the then-current monthly price.
From time to time, Mainstreet may also offer promotional membership options, including the opportunity to purchase a lifetime membership for a one-time fee. Lifetime membership offers may be available only for limited periods, to selected users, or subject to additional promotional terms disclosed at the time of purchase.
A lifetime membership provides access to Mainstreet for so long as Mainstreet continues to operate the applicable membership service, subject to these Terms of Service. A lifetime membership does not guarantee that every current feature, benefit, product, or service will remain available indefinitely, and Mainstreet may modify, replace, or discontinue individual features over time.
Unless expressly stated otherwise at the time of purchase, a lifetime membership:
• requires a single, non-recurring payment;
• does not automatically renew;
• is personal to the purchasing Member;
• may not be sold, transferred, assigned, or shared;
• remains subject to the Community Standards and these Terms; and
• may be suspended or terminated for violations of these Terms without entitlement to a refund, except where required by applicable law or marketplace policy.

Before completing a purchase, Mainstreet will clearly disclose the applicable membership option, including:
• the price;
• whether payment is recurring or one-time;
• any applicable taxes;
• the principal benefits included with membership;
• any material limitations or promotional conditions; and
• applicable cancellation, refund, and renewal terms.

For monthly memberships, Mainstreet will also clearly disclose that the subscription automatically renews each month until canceled.
If you purchase a membership through the Apple App Store or Google Play, payment, billing, renewal, cancellation, refunds, and other transaction terms are also subject to the applicable marketplace's rules and billing procedures.
RMSP may change the price of monthly memberships or future lifetime-membership offers. Any change to the monthly subscription price will apply prospectively and will be communicated in advance as required by applicable law and marketplace policy. Changes to the price of future lifetime-membership promotions will not affect a lifetime membership already purchased.
Canceling a monthly subscription stops future renewals but ordinarily does not terminate access for a billing period that has already been paid for. Unless otherwise required by law or applicable marketplace policy, monthly membership will remain active through the end of the current paid billing period.
Deleting your Mainstreet account does not necessarily cancel a subscription billed through Apple or Google. Members with recurring marketplace-billed subscriptions should separately cancel those subscriptions through the applicable Apple App Store or Google Play subscription-management system.

29. APPLE APP STORE SUBSCRIPTIONS

For subscriptions purchased through Apple's App Store:
• payment will be processed through the user's Apple account;
• renewal and billing will be administered by Apple;
• users may manage or cancel subscriptions through Apple's subscription-management tools;
• deleting a Mainstreet account does not necessarily cancel an Apple subscription; and
• refunds are subject to Apple's applicable policies and law.

Where required, Mainstreet will provide access to appropriate subscription-management information within the app.

30. GOOGLE PLAY SUBSCRIPTIONS

For subscriptions purchased through Google Play:
• payment will be processed through the user's Google Play account;
• renewal and billing will be administered through Google Play as applicable;
• users may manage or cancel eligible subscriptions through Google Play's subscription-management tools;
• cancellation ordinarily affects future renewal rather than retroactively refunding the current billing period, subject to Google's rules and applicable law; and
• deleting a Mainstreet account does not necessarily cancel a Google Play subscription.

Mainstreet will provide an accessible means for users to manage or cancel Google Play subscriptions as required by applicable marketplace rules.

31. REFUNDS

Except where otherwise required by law or by the marketplace through which a transaction was processed, fees are non-refundable once the applicable service period has begun.
Purchases processed by Apple or Google may be subject to their respective refund mechanisms.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

32. TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIP AND SUBSCRIPTION STATUS

Termination of an account for violation of these Terms does not necessarily entitle a Member to a refund for a period already purchased, except where required by law or applicable marketplace rules.
Termination of Mainstreet access and cancellation of marketplace billing may be separate processes.
A Member whose account is terminated should separately confirm the status of any recurring Apple or Google subscription.

33. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The Service may contain links to or integrations with third-party services.
RMSP is not responsible for the content, security, accuracy, policies, or operation of third-party services.
Your use of those services may be governed by separate agreements.
You are responsible for complying with applicable third-party terms when using Mainstreet.

34. SECURITY

You may not:
• test vulnerabilities without authorization;
• attempt to defeat authentication or authorization controls;
• probe RMSP systems;
• introduce malicious code;
• intercept communications unlawfully;
• bypass rate limits;
• disrupt service availability; or
• access data you are not authorized to access.

Good-faith security researchers should use RMSP's designated vulnerability-reporting process, if available.

35. COOPERATION WITH LEGAL PROCESS AND SERIOUS SECURITY MATTERS

RMSP may preserve or disclose information where reasonably believed necessary and legally permitted to:
• comply with lawful process;
• respond to valid legal requests;
• investigate fraud;
• protect RMSP or its Members;
• prevent imminent harm;
• investigate cybersecurity incidents; or
• enforce legal rights.

RMSP may refer suspected criminal conduct, serious cyberattacks, organized identity fraud, credible threats, or other serious misconduct to appropriate authorities where RMSP determines such action is warranted.
Nothing in these Terms creates an obligation for RMSP to report every suspected violation to law enforcement.

36. CHANGES TO THE SERVICE

Mainstreet will evolve.
RMSP may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features.
Where a change materially affects a paid subscription, RMSP will provide notice as required by applicable law and marketplace policies.
No particular feature is guaranteed to remain available indefinitely.

37. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

RMSP may update these Terms from time to time.
If a change is material, RMSP will provide reasonable notice through the Service, email, or another appropriate method before the change becomes effective when required by law.
Continued use after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance where legally permitted.
If applicable law requires affirmative consent, RMSP will request it.

38. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.”
RMSP DOES NOT WARRANT THAT:
• THE SERVICE WILL ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE;
• INFORMATION PROVIDED BY MEMBERS WILL ALWAYS BE ACCURATE;
• AUTOMATED OR AI ANALYSIS WILL BE ERROR-FREE;
• EVERY VIOLATION WILL BE DETECTED;
• EVERY REPORT WILL RESULT IN ENFORCEMENT;
• EVERY MEMBER WILL ACT IN GOOD FAITH;
• USER CONTENT WILL NEVER BE LOST; OR
• USE OF MAINSTREET WILL PRODUCE ANY PARTICULAR POLICY OR POLITICAL RESULT.

Nothing in this section excludes warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded.

39. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, RMSP AND ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AFFILIATES, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM USE OF THE SERVICE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RMSP'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF:
1. THE AMOUNT YOU PAID RMSP FOR THE SERVICE DURING THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM; OR 2. ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).
These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law and do not limit liability that cannot legally be limited.

40. INDEMNIFICATION

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless RMSP and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from third-party claims arising from:
• your unlawful use of the Service;
• User Content you submit;
• your material violation of these Terms;
• your infringement of another person's rights; or
• fraudulent or deceptive activity conducted through your account.

This provision does not require indemnification for claims caused solely by RMSP's own unlawful conduct where such indemnification would be prohibited.

41. DISPUTE RESOLUTION — INFORMAL RESOLUTION

Before filing a lawsuit or arbitration, you and RMSP agree to attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally.
A party initiating a dispute should send written notice describing:
• the claimant;
• the nature of the dispute;
• relevant facts; and
• the requested relief.

Notice to RMSP should be sent to:
[TO BE CONFIRMED: LEGAL NOTICE EMAIL AND ADDRESS]
The parties will ordinarily allow at least thirty (30) days for informal resolution before commencing formal proceedings, except where emergency injunctive relief is reasonably necessary.

42. ARBITRATION AGREEMENT THIS SECTION SHOULD BE REVIEWED BY RMSP COUNSEL BEFORE PUBLICATION.

Except for disputes eligible for small-claims court and claims for emergency injunctive relief concerning intellectual property, cybersecurity, account fraud, or misuse of the Service, disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration to the extent permitted by law.
Arbitration will be administered by [TO BE CONFIRMED BY RMSP COUNSEL: AAA OR JAMS] under its applicable consumer rules.
The arbitration will occur in Washington, D.C., remotely, or at another location required by applicable consumer law or agreed by the parties.
The arbitrator may award the same individual remedies a court could award.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from reporting matters to an appropriate government agency.

43. CLASS-ACTION WAIVER

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DISPUTES MUST BE BROUGHT ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN A PURPORTED CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION.
The arbitrator may award relief only to the individual party seeking relief except where applicable law provides otherwise.
